Give outdoor footage new light without reshooting. Move the sun, soften or harden the light, or turn a daytime clip into a night scene, while the framing, camera movement and subject movement stay exactly as filmed.

Why use video relighting?

1

15 lighting looks

Ten daylight looks, from hard noon sun to golden hour and overcast, plus five night looks such as moonlight, street lights and blue hour.

2

Choose where the sun is

For daylight looks, place the sun in front of, beside or behind the camera to control where shadows and highlights fall.

3

Same shot, same motion

Only the light changes. Composition, camera movement and subject movement are kept, and the output keeps your aspect ratio.

How it works

01

Upload video

Add an MP4, WebM or MOV up to 120 seconds. Outdoor footage gives the best results.

02

Pick the lighting

Choose a daylight or night look, set the sun direction for daylight looks, and select 480p, 720p or 1080p.

03

Download

Processing runs in the cloud. Preview and download the relit clip from the panel or your history.

FAQ

Outdoor footage with a visible sky or clear daylight works best. Indoor scenes can be relit too, but results vary more because artificial lights and walls limit how the new light can fall.

Daylight looks change the sun's height, warmth and softness, and you choose where the sun is relative to the camera. Night looks turn the scene into night with their own light sources, such as the moon or street lamps, so the sun direction is not used.

No. The framing, camera movement and subject movement stay the same as in your original clip. Only the lighting changes. The output keeps your aspect ratio and is never larger than the original video.

The video length is rounded up to the next second and multiplied by the rate for the chosen resolution: 4 credits per second at 480p, 8 at 720p and 20 at 1080p. Billing starts at 3 seconds and clips can be up to 120 seconds. For example, a 10-second clip at 720p costs 80 credits.
